Only unique answers were accepted so guests had to think of different answers to their friends. Items had to begin with an S and a B (initials of the parents to be). Guests were asked to think up one baby item from a description given on the scattegory card. Three separate games were played with the guests.ġ: Baby scattegories. You can’t have a teddy bear baby shower without a teddy….so I organised for a blue teddy to sit on the dessert table which was for the guests to sign. The jar was also filled with the mummy to be’s favourite chocolate bar for added comfort. One of the advantages of having them on display was that it reminded the guests to fill them in!įor the jar of joy, guests were asked to write a word of encouragement or something funny, to support the mummy to be when she might be feeling a bit tired or overwhelmed. They were hung up with mini pegs to match the “It’s A Boy” banner, and they looked utterly adorable. The ‘wishes for baby’ and’ baby prediction’ cards were used as banners. Some of the activities for this party also doubled as party decoration. These looked incredibly vibrant and gave the finishing touch to the table. The same theme was used throughout the food tent labels, cupcake toppers and favor thank you tags.Įven some of the games and activities were used as decoration and they all maintained the same theme.įor an added splash of colour on the dessert table, I placed some bright yellow daisy’s in miniature milk bottles. The banner was hung using string and mini pegs.Ī welcome sign sat on the dessert table which mimicked the invitation. I was thrilled with how the “It’s A Boy” teddy bear baby shower banner turned out and once all put together, gave a stunning backdrop to the dessert table. To provide the vibrancy of colour, a row of tissue paper pom poms were placed above the dessert table. The decorations were easy to organise and looked beautiful once set up. The blue and lemon worked beautifully together and teamed with white was perfect for the event. The aim for the party decor was to be warm and inviting, but also calming and relaxing. The invitations set the scene for the party and all the decorations were based around this. We wanted to keep the invitations quite simple and “baby sweet”, so we decided upon pastel blue and lemon stripe with a classic teddy bear print.
